AN investigation is underway after a police car was involved in a collision in which a 10-year-old child was injured.
The smash between the police vehicle and a green Peugeot saloon happened on Manchester Road at its junction with Bitholmes Lane in Deepcar just after 6.30pm last night.

A 10-year-old passenger in the Peugeot received minor injuries and was treated for shock.

The smash led to the closure of the road for around an hour while investigations were carried out at the scene.
