Bus driver trapped in crash

A FEMALE bus driver was taken to hospital after her vehicle hit a line of parked cars.
The incident happened on Aughton Road, Swallownest, just after 11.30pm last night.

Fire crews sped to the scene and used specialist cutting equipment to free the woman after she became trapped in the bus.

They split the vehicle into several s
ectors to carry out the rescue.

The driver was taken to hospital to be treated for suspected back injuries.

A police spokesman confirmed there had been a collision between a single decker First South Yorkshire Bus and several cars.
