A DECORATOR from Barnsley has appeared in court charged with murdering his brother.
Stephen John Millns, 31, was initially charged with grievous bodily harm after his brother Kevin, 28, was rushed to Rotherham District General Hospital on November 9.

Kevin, a dad-of-four from Mexborough, died when his life support was switched of
f two days later.

Stephen Millns, of Oak Road, Shafton, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court and Judge Alan Goldsack QC ordered that he remain in custody until February.

Meanwhile Doncaster Coroner Nicola Mundy said she could not release Kevin's body to his family until a second post mortem examination has been conducted at the request of the defendant's lawyers.

The first post mortem showed the cause of death was compression of the neck. The coroner adjourned the inquest and said she would retain the body until receiving further information from the police.
