GLAMOROUS gran Hazel Glossop knew the vital ingredient needed to win a TV dinner party contest - sauce.
The mum-of-four was voted the "hostess with the mostest" on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me thanks to her delectable oxtail stew - and her sexy underwear.
Viewers saw the other three competitors being given a tour of her house in Southey Green while Hazel whipped up a storm in the kitchen.
The two men got a treat when they went through her drawers in the bedroom because she had deliberately put her sexiest underwear on top.
She also had guests in hysterics with a saucy game which saw them choose a letter and kiss a body part of another guest beginning with that letter.
In Come Dine With Me four people host a dinner party which is marked by the other three guests.
Hazel's win bagged her a £1,000 prize which she is spending on a holiday to Gibraltar with husband Barry. She said: "They were a lovely group of people. We didn't bitch, Sheffield people are straightforward and up front.
"But it was a game and I knew they'd be in the bedroom so I made sure they saw my underwear."
Hazel was urged to apply by Barry and her daughter Rachel Higgins, aged 29, after the TV company left flyers in a cafe in Firth Park. Before filming she had to gain the approval of producers who visited her home on North Hill Road.
Hazel said they soon realised she was the right woman for the programme because she loves cooking, loves hosting parties and - in her own words - is "barmy."
She said: "I'm always having parties at home with the family on a Sunday afternoon, there's that much pleasure from sharing a meal.
"I used to cook 18 meals for the Alpha Course at church and some said they only went because of my suppers!"
Daughter Rachel said: "I knew she'd win, she has a magic touch in the kitchen and she's a brilliant entertainer and host.
"She's very bubbly and loves a laugh."
