Blaze victim injuries life-threatening

A MAN injured in a blaze in Sheffield on Bonfire Night has been moved to a specialist burns unit at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.
The man, who has not been named by police, is in a life-threatening condition after suffering serious burns in the fire in a taxi replacement office operating above Assist UK Claims on Abbeydale Road.

The blaze was reported to the fire service at
11.30pm on Thursday and when crews arrived there were 20ft flames shooting from the top floor windows.

The flames had also spread to the roofspace.

It is not known how the man came to be injured.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze, which is being treated as suspicious.
