Biker badly hurt in crash

A MOTORCYCLIST is in the Northern General Hospital with spinal injuries after being thrown from his bike in a collision with a car in Sheffield.
The 50-year-old, from Hillsborough, was riding his black Yamaha along the A629 towards Sheffield when the collision occurred at the junction with the A61 at High Green.

The car involved was a Ford Ka travelling towards Tankersley, from Sheffield.

Witnesses to the collision, at 7.20pm yesterday, should call the South Yorkshire Police Witness Helpline on 0114 2202970.
