DETECTIVES investigating an attempted murder in Barnsley have made two more arrests.
Their probe was launched on Sunday night after a man was shot in the head close to his home in Wombwell.

The 41-year-old victim, from Marsh Street, was seriously injured and remained in hospital last night. He was shot in an alleyway which runs from Marsh Street to Smith Street at around 7.30pm.

The two arrests made yesterday come after officers arrested three men and a woman, all from South Yorkshire, on suspicion of attempted murder on Sunday night.
