SHEFFIELD business people can dine with former Prime Minister Tony Blair – for £1,000 a table.
Mr Blair and his wife Cherie will be guests at a South Yorkshire dinner on June 12.

As well as meeting and chatting to diners at a reception before the dinner, the pair will be sharing secrets about the highlights of their 10 years in Downing Stre
et during an after-dinner speech.

Tables for 10 are priced at £1,000 each but only a limited number are available. Guests can also attend a champagne reception before the dinner at £20 per head.

Sheffield Brightside MP David Blunkett, who has helped to organise the dinner to raise funds for Sheffield District Labour Party, said: "Tony and Cherie are both international figures with experiences and perspectives worth hearing at any time.

"To have them together for this local event is a major coup.

"However, this occasion will be an opportunity to hear lighter reflections on his 10 years as Prime Minister. We're sure many businesses in South Yorkshire will be keen to take advantage of this unique opportunity to entertain clients at what promises to be a highly enjoyable evening."

The dinner will be followed by music from a band and DJ.
