DONCASTER runner Matt Stubbings can be pretty sure his sightseeing in New York will tire him out.
He is taking in the attractions on foot as one of the runners in the 26-mile New York marathon.
The Polypipe worker, from Rossington, will run to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Matt, aged 29, will run through all five of the city's bo
roughs and past world famous landmarks on November 2.
He will start at the Verazano Narrows Bridge, running through Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan, and crossing the finishing line in Central Park.
"The New York marathon is something I've always wanted to run. I went there as a tourist six years ago.
"I'll be in New York for three days, flying in on the Friday and coming back on the early hours of the Tuesday morning," he said.
The former McAuley School pupil is hoping to raise £3,000 for the charity, which looks after terminally ill cancer patients.
Local fundraiser Liz Gow said: "Everyone here at Marie Curie appreciates his fantastic support and will be cheering him on from back home in South Yorkshire
