RUNNERS won't be avoiding Eyam like the plague next month when 400 of them descend on the Peak District village for one of road racing's toughest events.
Entry for this year's Eyam Half Marathon has been restricted to just 400 places with no entries being taken on the day. And with time running out, organisers are urging individual and club runners to get their entries in for the much-loved "rat race"
in the historic former plague village.

The race is at 10.30am on Sunday May 18. For an entry form call 01433 630418 or go to the event website at eyamhalfmarathon.org.uk.
