ROTHERHAM United expect to announce next week that they will be staying at Millmoor after all.
Prospective chairman Tony Stewart is believed to have negotiated a new deal with Millmoor owners the Booth family and the final details are expected to be concluded shortly. An announcement could be made within the next seven days.

It was only a week ago that prospects of remaining at Millmoor seemed bleak but the Booths returned to the negotiating table and both parties appear to have reached an agreement over amended conditions on the lease.

Assuming the deal goes ahead next week, the Millers will remain at their home of 101 years until the planned new Community Stadium is up and running, although that is a few years away yet.

Rotherham had made provision to move to the Don Valley Stadium just in case they had to leave Millmoor.

Meanwhile, administrator Jeremy Bleazard has applied for an extension to the club's period of administration.

He has applied to the courts for more time to contact creditors over the intended Company Voluntary Arrange ment (CVA) by which they would exit administration and thus avoid a 15 point deduction next season.
