BRADWELL may be famous for a certain brand of ice cream but now chef Charlie Curran hopes it will also get a name for food.
If the name sounds familiar he was the head chef at Sheffield's Leopold Hotel and before that Brian Turner's head chef at Turner's London restaurant.

He and partner Kelly Ware are now running the newly opened Samuel Fox Country Inn, previously known as the New Bass before it closed a year ago for renovations.

"It's quite a change from the centre of Sheffield – a different speed of life – but we're gradually starting to become part of the community," he says.

It's a gastro-pub with rooms and the opening menu has mains around a tenner – crispy belly pork with oriental green and braised shoulder of lamb are currently on offer.

There are real ales and food is avaailable for lunch and dinner all week (all day on Saturdays). Book on 01433 621 562.
