A two year-old girl from Burngreave is the face of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice’s Christmas campaign.
Supporters are being asked to back Sienna’s Sparkle Appeal rather than buying Christmas cards, in support of children like Sienna Roberts who was born prematurely at 35 weeks weighing just four pounds.
Sienna has vocal cord palsy, tracheobronchial malacia and subglottic stenosis, all of which mean she cannot breathe unaided and may never be able to speak.
This Christmas her 35-year-old mum Sara is asking people to donate to the hospice instead of buying cards, and has taken part in a special video ‘Sienna’s Sparkle Appeal’ to raise awareness of the support offered by Bluebell Wood. The video can be sent as an ecard instead of the usual traditional Christmas card.
“Bluebell Wood is our lifeline,” said Sara. “I hope everyone will get behind Sienna’s Sparkle Appeal.” Visit www.bluebellwood.org/sparkle
