1. February Half Term Activities, Cannon Hall Farm, Today, Sunday, February 24.

Cannon Hall Farm are installing an all-weather sheep racing track meaning they’ll able to entertain you with sheep racing antics even during the winter, so there’ll be sheep, ferret and hamster racing. Kid’s activities with a springtime twist will be happening too. The children’s activities and petting area will be open between 11am and 4pm. Please contact the venue for admission prices. 2. Looking Good! Tropical Butterfly House, Today, Sunday, February 24, 10am-5pm

Discover the secrets of how the animals make themselves irresistible. You will get the chance to see spectacular bird of prey and parrot shows, get up close and personal in amazing animal encounters, discover how animals maintain their good looks and wonder at the fascinating ways animals attract a mate. Visit Magna ofor a Fun Family Steel Trail. All you need to do is a pick up a quiz trail sheet from reception on arrival. 4. Culture Lab, Southey Library, Monday, February 25, 5pm-6pm

Come along to Southey Library and enjoy an afternoon of free arts and crafts activities. You can learn to make creative things to help decorate your home. This is a fun activity for all the family. This is a free event so just drop in on the day. T: 0114 2782600

5. Craft Club, Millennium Gallery, Monday, February 25, 10.30am – 12.30pm

Visit Millennium Gallery and get involved with making and creating using knitting, stitching and crochet in a laidback, creative atmosphere, led by volunteer crafters. There will be no admission fee, just come along on the day. T: 0114 2782600

6. Welly Walks for Little Legs, RSPB Old Moor S73 OYF, Friday, March 1

A splish splashing walk around the reserve to find the clues that will reveal the identity of a very special superhero! Welly-wearing advised! There will be two walks, one at 11am and one at 2pm. 7. The Seven Treasures - Japanese Enamels from the V&A, Weston Park, Saturday, March 2, 10am-5pm

Between 1880 and 1910, the Japanese enamelling industry reached a level of exquisite sophistication that would later come to be regarded as a Golden Age. This exhibition showcases some of the most beautiful Japanese enamels in the V&A’s extensive collection. 8. Cops and Robbers: Greentop Community Circus Centre, Saturday, March 2, 8pm-10pm.
