Confidence? Readers Angela Straw and Melanie Taylor are bubbling with it.
It's all thanks to the in-laws who think so much about them, they nominated them for a special treat... a Star makeover, with new clothes and hairstyles totalling £600.

We had asked if there were readers out there who were really in need of a pick-me-up. We had a lovely prize lined up... Asda at Chapeltown wanted to mark the recent makeover of their George department by treating two Star readers to a style consultation and £200 shopping spree.

At Asda prices, that sort of money goes a long way. There are summer T-shirts at just a fiver each, smart linen trousers and skirts for around £10 and plenty of the season's most popular fashion stories.

And to top off the new outfits and lift their spirits – a great hairdo. Hair salon Rain opened a £500,000 salon on Sheffield Road, Birdwell, ten months ago and had top stylists waiting to give each winner a £100 re-style.

After reading heartfelt letters sent in by Angela's sister-in-law Lainy Walker and Melanie's mum-in-law Dorothy Taylor, we knew they more than deserved the Star treatment...
