One of Sheffield's newest businesses has won the contract to run the launch party for the major exhibition of fashion diva Vivienne Westwood's work at Sheffield's Millennium Galleries.
The company, Ruby Slippers gets its name from the magical shoes worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, but could just as easily be named after the iconic platform shoes Westwood designed.

Although the business, run by Nichola Atherton and Amy W
ard, is new on the scene, it has already won the praises of city development company Creative Sheffield's marketing director Brendan Moffett.

"It's time to start recognising the younger generation of business professionals," said Moffett.

"It's great to see a company like Ruby Slippers who really know their stuff working on the Vivienne Westwood Exhibition – they're a perfect example of a new company adding vibrancy and an edge to the city.

"Sheffield is rapidly developing a better profile of young professionals, who seek recognition and it's creating a renewed energy that is so important."

Nichola Atherton said: "Working with the Galleries on the launch of the Vivienne Westwood exhibition is fantastic and gives us the opportunity to deliver an event that showcases Sheffield to guests from all over the UK.

Our message is simple. Click together the heels of your ruby slippers and believe in a bit of magic, then anything can happen."
