PERFORMING arts students from Doncaster will be taking to the stage to perform their version of High School Musical.
The National Diploma students from Doncaster College will be performing the show at the Harvey Theatre, High Melton, on June 4, 5 and 6.

With a plot described as a modern-day adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, High School Musical is a story about two
school students from different social groups – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a shy and intelligent transfer student.

Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical and end up dividing the school.

Despite other students' attempts to stop their plans, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and rivalry, inspiring others along the way.

Drama course leader Justine Green said: "The students are all really excited to perform such a popular show as High School Musical.

"The tickets have already started selling fast, and we're looking forward to showing the people of Doncaster just what we can offer here at Doncaster College."

Performances begin at 1.15pm and 7pm on each of the three days. Tickets, priced at £8 for adults and £5 for concessions, are available by visiting www.don.ac.uk/arts or contacting Laura Zenbergs on 01302 553578.
