SANTA Claus will be taking to the water on a community barge with boat trips from Stanilands Marina in Thorne during December.
The trust that runs the Ethel, an all-weather barge which operates all year along the Stainforth and Keadby Canal, is planning special Christmas trips for children.

Youngsters, who must be accompanied by an adult, receive a gift from Santa during the trip and can enjoy other activities on board.

Trips will be run on the first three weekends in December, departing from Stanilands Marina, Thorne, every hour from midday until the last trip at 3pm, returning at 4pm. To book, call Lee on 07968 555309.
