The number of passengers using Robin Hood Airport has risen by 12.6 per cent in the last 12 months.
A total of 2.85 million air travellers have passed through the airport since it opened three years ago this month(April).

Owners Peel Airport's group airports director, Hugh Lang, said the airport was very proud of its growth record and was headin
g for further growth following the launch of a scheduled service to the Polish capital, Warsaw.

Robin Hood Airport is the only airport in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Humber to fly to emerging European destinations like Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw.

Its top five routes last month were Alicante, followed by Dublin, Katowice/Cracow, Malaga and Tenerife.

In terms of passenger volumes Katowice, Turin, Sharm El Sheikh and Alicante were among the routes recording their busiest month since the airport opened.
