MOUNTAIN rescue teams were called to Kinder Scout in Edale, north Derbyshire after two lost walkers from Doncaster rang for help.
Teams from Buxton and Edale found the men, both aged 25, between Hartshorn and the top of Grindsbrook.
The walkers, from Finningley and Owston Ferry, Doncaster, were found safe and well.
Neil Carruthers, leader of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team sa
id: "These two guys had prepared reasonably well in terms of equipment, they had torches and maps.
"However they were inexperienced and their timings for their intended route were underestimated, you need to allow for a margin of error in open country especially in the weather conditions at the time - heavy rain, poor visibility and very windy."
