Peer denies assault

DONCASTER furniture millionaire Lord Kirkham has denied attacking a man in an alleged road rage incident.
Lord Kirkham, the founder of the DFS chain, pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm during a short hearing at Doncaster Crown Court.

The 63-year-old, of Sprot-brough, who appeared on the court list under the name Graham Kirkha
m, is accused of assaulting 50-year-old Keith Pearce, of Woodlands.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in Sprot-brough in April.

He was given unconditional bail until his trial on December 18.
