YOUNG artists from North Doncaster Technology College took a peace message to their village church.
Their painting, based on Picasso's famous anti-war work Guernica, has been put on display at Adwick Parish Church after more than a dozen youngsters in teacher Phil Waterworth's art class contributed to the work by panels to be included.

The young
sters had been studying Picasso in their year nine art classes at the Adwick secondary school. Guernica depicts a scene from the Spanish Civil War in the town, which was bombed by the Germans.

Mr Waterworth said: "Rev Anne Walton saw the work and thought it was great. She wanted to display it at the church. I'm very proud of the pupils - it was great teamwork."

A collection bin for the charity War Child is being placed next to the work.
