DIE-HARD Doncaster Rovers fans Katie Betts and Kevin McClone had a 'best dog' as well as a best man at their wedding.
Rovers mascot Donny the Dog was the surprise guest when the couple got married at Armthorpe Parish Church and posed with them for their wedding photographs.

The unexpected extra guest was arranged by the bride's mother and maintained the soccer theme at the reception at The Regent Hotel for the Rovers-mad couple, who met on the terraces at Belle Vue.

Tables at the reception were named after Rovers heroes such as Alick Jeffrey and Paul Heffernan.

Katie, aged 21, a nursery nurse, said: "We were having our photograph taken when I felt a paw on my shoulder.

"We couldn't believe it when Donny the Dog turned up. We didn't have a clue he was coming."

Now the pair are on honeymoon in Jamaica, thousands of miles away from tomorrow's big game at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Kevin, 25, is a corporal in the Royal Signals and has just returned from a tour of duty in Cyprus.
