Olympic fever gets a grip at Keepmoat open meeting SLIDESHOW

POST-Olympic fever helped swell the attendance at the Keepmoat Athletic Stadium when over 300 athletes, including several with disabilities, turned out for the first ever open meeting staged at the track.
Hosted jointly by Doncaster AC and Rotherham Harriers athletes from under-11s through to seniors competed in a busy programme of track and field events, including several athletes with disabilities.

The meeting included a couple of rare events that have never been held at the stadium before so winners set the following stadium records:
200m hurdles: Under-15 boys' Jack Houghton (Doncaster), 32.3secs, Under-15 girls' Zoe Czelecki (Kingston-upon-Hull) 34.9secs.

Mile: Under-17 men Sam Bucknell (Wakefield) 4.49.5, Under-20 men Matt Milson (Hallamshire) 4.48.1, senior men Gareth Hepworth (Wakefield) 4.49.6.

Other track results included: Under-11 boys' 80m: Joe McGrath (Don) 11.4 seconds; Under-13 boys' 100m: Alex Kiwimya (Sheffield) 12 sec, Under-15s boys' 100m: Ben Shields (Roth) 11.6 , Under-17s 100m: Ransford Anthony (Don) 11.3, Under-17s men 200m: Callum Stoddart (Don) 23.5, Senior men 100m: Ricardo Francis (Wakefield) 10.9.
