A PENSIONER was rescued by Doncaster firefighters after he was stranded in a broken-down lift last night.
The man was trapped between floors at the Rose House care home on Rose Grove, Armthorpe, where he is a resident.
Firefighters from Don-caster Fire Station were called out at around 8pm and went to the engine room to wind the lift down manually and release the man.
