A MAN was today due to make his first appearance before a judge at Doncaster Crown Court after an alleged knife attack in Armthorpe which left the victim fighting for his life.
Alec Laird, aged 27, of no fixed address, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm over the incident in a flat at Mill Street, in the early hours of July 13.
The victim, a 36-year-old Armthorpe man, has been released from hospital after life-saving surgery on a severe throat wound.
Six other people arrested in connection with the incident are still on police bail.
