THESE Doncaster youngsters are helping keep other kids safe when building work is going on.
Mihir Rao, aged 10, and Kathleen O'Donovan, nine, are pupils at St Peter's Catholic Primary School on Sandy Lane in Doncaster.

The pair designed posters to get the safety message across to other pupils.

They entered the competition after a visit from David Steele of Wates Living Space who talked about staying safe around construction sites.

Wates is working in partnership with St Leger Homes of Doncaster to carry out part of the Decent Homes Programme in the borough. Work on homes can include new kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors, new fireplaces, rewiring and central heating.

Joanne Jamieson, business unit director for Wates, said: "Our number one priority is to keep the tenants of St Leger Homes safe at all times.

"Visiting schools where works are in progress allows us to reinforce this important message in a fun way."
