HE'S put more than 100,000 people through cosmetic surgery – now Doncaster Rovers millionaire chairman John Ryan is following their example!
Mr Ryan was due to go under the knife this morning to make his eyes look younger – and has timed the op to make sure he does not have to miss any of the club's games.

He will be having upper eyelid surgery, which he reckons will make him look and feel younger, as well as helping his vision.

He said: "I've given Doncaster Rovers a facelift, so I thought I would give myself one by having an operation myself.

"It is just an operation on the skin over the eye, where all the stress of being chairman of Doncaster Rovers for 11 years has taken its toll!

"It's the first time I've ever had anything like this done, even though I've been responsible for more than 100,000 operations through my companies over the years, and I thought it was about time I had something done myself.

"I don't feel nervous about it, because I've seen so many operations over the years and I know what's involved, plus I've got total faith in the surgeons."

Despite the mickey-taking reputation of footballers, 59-year-old Mr Ryan says he has no worries over jokes from the players at the Keepmoat – because he says so many footballers' wives have had cosmetic surgery.

His operation was due to take about an hour, with the stitches due to be taken out in five or six days.

"I'm not going to miss any matches," he said. "That's why I'm getting it done in the close season. But people may see me in big dark glasses in the next few days.

"I felt it was about time I had a little work done as not only do I get asked all the time by colleagues and friends if I have undergone any procedures, but my daughters feel I constantly look grumpy or tired when I'm not.

"As you age you may have excess skin around your eyes causing your upper eyelids to hood over. This has affected my vision slightly, so as well as it being for cosmetic reasons there is also a small medical side to it."

Mr Ryan made his fortune by setting up the cosmetic surgery firm Transform which he later sold. Among the company's clients were former Page Three girl Melinda Messenger, who had a boob job with the firm.

Two years ago he went back into the industry, setting up MYA Cosmetic Surgery, which has given boob jobs to a series of reality television stars including Big Brother contestants Orlaith McAllister and Imogen Thomas, and actress and model Naomi Millbank-Smith. Former X-Factor runner-up Niki Evans has had liposuction with the firm.
