HE'S Doncaster's counterfeit king - and he reckons his bogus Belton band feast this weekend shows business is booming for tribute bands.
Jez Lee, from Owston Ferry, runs Belton's answer to Glastonbury on Saturday with a cast of famous faces - except they're all fakes.
The Belton RockFest is his latest festival drawing on tribute bands and his seventh this year.
He has seen the business grow from one festival last year, in nearby Haxey, to seven this year, and plans to run around 15 in 2009.
Jez, aged 37, set up the Famous Faces look alike agency five years ago, and expanded that to include a tribute band service. Now he's running whole fake festivals in greater and greater numbers.
At the weekend, he has three tribute bands on the bill mimicking some of the biggest names in pop. He will also be bringing in a selection of lookalikes from his books, which include a Ricky Gervais double.
The fake bands at Belton are Grimsby's answer to Green Day called Basket Case, The Jam covers band Setting Sons, from Retford, and Nottingham-based Oasis tribute act Oasist.
They will be supported by a selection of six bands from South Yorkshire and the East Midlands, in an event running from 1pm until 11.45pm.
Jez said: "It's like a festival, but it's not Glastonbury - it is also like a village fete and the whole thing is run in a marquee in a local field.
"Because it is all under cover you don't get wet or find yourself in a mudbath like you can at Glastonbury, and you can go home and sleep in your own bed. I think that is one of the reasons why they're getting so popular.
"I initially started with the Famous Faces agency, then the tribute bands agency, and decided there was a market for putting on festivals like this in small towns.
"People know its not the real Oasis or Green Day, although you'd be amazed how many people ask if it's the real one coming.
