A NURSERY nurse whose death sparked a Doncaster murder probe will be buried when police release her body for funeral, an inquest heard.
Doncaster deputy coroner Fred Curtis, after hearing evidence of identification, told Michelle Greenwood's mother Ruby he would allow the release of her body for funeral as soon as police give the go ahead.

Mrs Greenwood, who lived with her daughte
r in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, told an inquest opening in Doncaster she had agreed with Michelle's father that the family wanted her to be buried and had already appointed an undertaker. She told the inquest she had last seen her 20-year-old daughter at 7.50pm on last Friday. She described her as having been fit and well.

A statement from Pc David Cooke revealed he had been sent to Thorne Police Station on Durham Road in the early hours of October 4 to reports of a male "stating various matters".

"In the vehicle I was able to see a female I now know to be Michelle Greenwood," his statement added.

Mr Curtis adjourned the inquest under section 16 of the Coroners Act, pending a court case.

n Jason Marley, aged 28, of Church Road, Stainforth, has been remanded until next Monday on a charge of murdering Michelle.
