A WORKER at a Doncaster hotel was wounded in a struggle with a man in a Michael Owen football shirt.
The man wearing an England jersey bearing the striker's name had been asked to leave the Earl of Doncaster Hotel on Bennetthorpe before the worker was hurt.

Police were today appealing for information to trace the man and have released closed circuit television pictures of him.

The man entered the hotel and was seen by a member of staff and monitored on CCTV screen. He was asked to leave but refused and put up a struggle with the male member of staff.

The man then left the premises and the member of staff found he had blood on his arm and small puncture wounds.

The suspect was white, aged between 20 and 30 and of a slim build. He had short spiky ginger hair and clean shaven but of an untidy appearance.

He was wearing a white England shirt, with the name Owen on the back along with a number 10.

He had a blue long sleeved jumper tied around his waist and wore blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the incident on Tuesday July 29 should call PC Sally-Ann Burkhill on 01302 385095 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
