ROBIN Hood Airport's main flights operator reckons 30 per cent of holidaymakers overload their suitcase when going away. A survey by Thomsonfly says women are the worst offenders with one in three admitting they pack too generously and more than 60 per cent confessing they knew they would only wear some of the clothes and shoes taken.
In contrast, 78 per cent of men feel they take the right amount of baggage on a holiday. Women packed significantly more shoes than men. For a four-night break, the average number of shoes packed by women was four.
