DONCASTER'S Keepmoat Stadium is helping other builders to see how a sports stadium should be constructed.
GB Building Solutions, based in Wakefield, requested a visit to the Keepmoat Stadium to help in their involvement on a new stadium development for Chesterfield FC.

The firm sent five employees to see the 15,000-seater facility at Lakeside to check
out the award-winning venue.

The visitors were given a full tour of the facilities on offer by the Stadium Management Company's operations director Shane Chalmers, including the Lakeside Health and Fitness Club, the soccer centre, the athletics club and the conferencing suites.

Shane said: "We were pleased to welcome GB Building Solutions to the stadium and delighted that our fantastic facilities are held in such high esteem in the building industry.

"It is a huge compliment that we have been identified as a blueprint for success and that others want to follow suit."

Eamonn Cahill, project manager for GB Building Solutions, said: "We wanted to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Keepmoat and get some tips from the management company.

"It's great that Shane and the team were so accommodating."
