Gas leak family are evacuated

FOUR children and an adult were evacuated from their home after a gas leak from a cooker.
The family were allowed back inside the house on Ansten Crescent, Cantley, once gas engineers had isolated the leak which was discovered in the early hours of Saturday.

n Firefighters in Doncaster were called to a blaze at the unoccupied Grange Ho
tel, in Grange Road, Moorends.

Officers say the blaze destroyed around 70 per cent of the building.

The cause of the fire, which broke out in the early hours of Saturday, is being investigated.

n A blaze in a skip near a caravan site in Bentley was accidental, say firemen.

A crew from Adwick Fire Station was called out at 8.10pm last night after a report of the fire on Tilts Hill Lane in the village.

They spent 10 minutes on the scene and used a hosereel to put the flames out.
