THE saga of Sheffield Wednesday's takeover has taken another step forward after fan group Wednesdayite agreed to an offer for its 10 per cent stake in the club by consortium frontman Geoff Sheard.
Around 92 per cent agreed to accept his bid at a meeting last night. The turnout was 78 per cent of the 1,000 members eligible to vote.

Sheard must now meet conditions including a requirement to provide legal proof of funds.
