A PUB landlady found dead behind her Mexborough pub was the auntie of tragic boxer Scott Brookes, residents have revealed.
The pub landlady has been named by locals as 55-year-old Marie Booth.
Police launched a murder inquiry after she was found dead behind the Bull's Head pub on High Street, Mexborough in the early hours of Friday.

d after he was knocked down by a taxi in Swinton on April 7 and his funeral - attended by some of the country's top boxers, including Clinton Woods and Steffi Bull - was held on April 16 at the town's St John the Baptist Church.
One friend, who asked not to be named, said: "She was a wonderful woman. She was in the pub's darts team and I used to see her on Monday nights. She was loud and jolly - she had a real lust for life.
"I feel really sorry for the family - with this happening so soon after what happened to Scott they're going through a really tough time."
Shocked locals paid tribute to the Bull's Head landlady.
Resident Ralph Blinko added: "She was a friendly woman. I know she enjoyed a game of bingo. She played down the club every Sunday. Knowing what's happened, it's come as a bit of a shock."
A local businesswoman added: "It's come as a real bolt of the blue - it's a bit scary. I didn't know Marie that well, but having a nearby business I used to see her quite a bit. She was very friendly - she'd always say hello. She'd help anyone out - she just seemed very, very nice."
A 62-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death on Friday but was released without charge over the weekend.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mrs Booth's death and are keeping an open mind."
