YOUNG tycoons who set up a business at their Doncaster school are sharing their success by handing over the profits to charity.
The sixth formers at Trinity Academy in Thorne are donating £234 to the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice appeal, one of the academy's chosen charities.

The students took up the Young Enterprise challenge as part of their business A level, establishing a company called Trinity Enterprise.

Joint managing director Natasha Hayes, 16, said: "Initially our idea was to have hoodies printed in the colours and with the logo of each of the houses at the academy, Shepherds, Kings and Poets.

"Later we decided that t-shirts would be better, so once the idea was agreed we looked at how to raise the finance which we did by holding a football tournament and selling 100 shares in the business."

Business teacher at the Academy Peter Fox said: "The challenge was an excellent way for the students to put into practice the theory they learn in lessons. It was a valuable experience for them and has made them realise that running a business isn't always easy.

"Nevertheless, their company was successful and we are delighted that they have chosen to donate their profits to the children's hospice appeal."
