A CAR was torched on a country lane near Doncaster after being stolen over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The silver Ford Mondeo was reported to be on fire just before dawn on Saturday on Harlington Road in Adwick-upon-Dearne.

The damaged car had come off the road on a bend and had broken through a barrier next to a field.

Then it had been set alight.

Mexborough fire crews were called out to put out the flames but the N-registered car was very badly damaged.

Police say the car had been stolen in Mexborough earlier that night.
