Concert cash for charity

A CHARITY concert in memory of a young Sprotbrough boy who died from a serious brain condition raised almost £2,000.
Doncaster policeman David High and his wife have now donated nearly £10,000 to the British Institute for Brain Injured Children.

In June David appeared on stage at the Civic Theatre playing the saxophone with the Ultimate Bowie tribute band. He said: "The proceeds of the night totalled a fantastic £1,997 for the Christopher David High Sensory Room and it has helped raise Bibic's profile."

Last Friday a group of bobbies from Doncaster Safer Neighbourhood Teams took part in a sponsored static bike ride at Tesco, Balby, to boost the fund.
