YORKSHIRE comedian Billy Pearce looked like he had met two legends of comedy when he visited a Doncaster hotel for an opening ceremony.
Billy turned up to Mexborough's Pastures Lodge Hotel in a Model T Ford, along with these Laurel and Hardy lookalikes.

They were there to perform the official opening of the newly refurbished and extended hotel.

More than £2 million has been invested in 31 additional bedrooms, creating a total of 60 suites, a new conference suite and a restaurant. The investment has secured the hotel's three-star status and it is now a member of the Best Western brand.

Billy was not the first big name to perform an opening ceremony at the site. When Pastures Lodge first opened in 1999, England 1966 World Cup hero Geoff Hurst turned out for the opening.

The hotel was originally developed by Mexborough-born former Sheffield United star Geoff Salmons, a former teammate of Hurst from his days at Stoke City.
