OLYMPIC Games finalist Gemma Lowe passed on tips to 40 Doncaster swimmers on a recent visit to the Thorne Tigers Club.
Sixth in the 100m butterfly, and a member of the Team GB 4x100m medley relay squad which finished fourth in the 2008 Games, the 18 year-old demonstrated stroke techniques in the pool.

Dave Legge, North East Talent Coach and former Hull Swimming Club coach, coached from the poolside.

Part-financed from Doncaster Youth Bank funds, which were secured by senior swimmers at the club, the sessions concentrated on backstroke and butterfly.

Two more clinics will be held for backstroke and freestyle next month.

Club coach Mark Harrison said: "This has been a fantastic opportunity for talented local swimmers to receive national-standard coaching and brush up on their technique

"Meeting an Olympic swimmer and having the chance to race against her has been the chance of a lifetime. Everyone has been really excited."
