DONCASTER Rovers will be looking to check their slide down the Championship table in today's game against lowly Southampton at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers have lost their last thee league games - the first time that has happened since Sean O'Driscoll took charge - and badly need to get back to winning ways.
"The players are all disappointed," said O'Driscoll. "They've all performed pretty well and haven't got anything to show for it, something which is hard to get over and obviously people question this and question that.
"What you don't want to do is to lose the 99 per cent of the things that we have done week-in, week-out for the sake of that one per cent at the end.
"The one per cent is probably the most important, but you can't sacrifice the rest of it to get it; you just need to work at it.
"The strikers are creating chances and to create chances you have got to have good movement and passing and to achieve that you've got organised and disciplined and for that you need an understanding and a responsibility.
"They are all the building blocks and once you get all the building blocks then hopefully the little bit at the end will come.
"But if you focus on the one bit at the top and lose everything else then you are up the creek without a paddle."
"Southampton are like most clubs who have sort of gambled on trying to get into the Premier Division and not quite got there and who are now reaping the financial problems that poses. They now have to cut their cloth accordingly - hence the very young team.
"But they've got a plan and they play some delightful football. We are renowned as a passing team, but I think that Southampton probably pass the ball better than we do.
"The young lads have come in and got their chance and are playing without fear.
"I watched them beat Birmingham 2-0 at St Mary's in the Carling Cup and they were excellent. They are one of those teams who, if you treat them lightly, can produce an upset because of the way that they play.
"They've added experienced players at the back, look nice and balanced and on their day can beat anybody."
O'Driscoll is familiar with several of the Southampton youngsters now making their mark in the first team.
"It has been well documented how well their Academy is run and wen I was at Bournemouth we gave quite a few of their boys their first taste of league football."
Rovers' record buy Matt Mills, who started his career at St Mary's, is hoping to play in today's game. He has been in doub with a calf injury.
