BARRY Connolly and Mick Reilly (21-8) gave Pilkington's Recs a good start in their Doncaster Bowls Association Doubles League Division One clash at Armthorpe B, but John Clewer and Gary Potter won by the same score to earn the home side a draw.
Armthorpe served up an 84-71 win over Yorkshire Main.

Tommy Jones and Sid Price (21-5) won the match (67-59) for Denaby at home to Armthorpe.

Jean Hopson and Brian Nock (21-9) and Steve Crookes and Brian Coates (21-5) showed up well for Adwick
in their 83-47 Division Two win over Rossington.

Eden Grove-Pegler lost 84-50 at Carcroft.

Jack Richardson and Mick Finley (21-9) provided Thorpe Marsh Bentley's only success as Simon Dinnie and Danny Hallas won 21-2 for Woodlands Park in their 72-56 win.

Terry Quant and Shirley Keeton (21-5) were the best of Armthorpe' Cs four winners in their 84-48 victory at Bentley.

n Alan Wilby (21-9) was one of Tickhill's two winners in their 148-118 Over-60s League One defeat at Armthorpe for whom last man Richard Commons won 21-5.

Derek Brookes (21-9), Albert Dudill (21-5) and Dave Concannon (21-4) all performed well for Roundwood in their 160-104 win over Thorpe Marsh

John Patterson (21-7) starred for Thorpe Marsh Bentley in their 160-119 win at Armthorpe. Rossington beat derby rivals Tickhill 161-127.

Derek Brookes and Rodger Mortimer (both 21-4), Albert Dudill (21-8) and Keith Swancott (21-5) all posted good wins for Roundwood in their 162-87 win over Eden Grove-Pegler.
