ON-loan prop Chris Lawson is set to make his debut for Doncaster Rugby League Club in tomorrow's crucial National League Two promotion clash against Oldham at Boundary Park.
The 20 year-old Huddersfield Giants forward has joined the Dons on an initial month's loan.
"I've come here because I've got the opportunity to play some first team rugby - which is a step up from Huddersfield's Under-21 Academy League team," he told The Star.
"I am looking forward to testing myself at this level, and I am also looking forward to working with head coach Ellery Hanley and hopefully learning something from him,
"I have been enjoying working with stand-in head coach Paul Anderson. The fact that he used to be a top prop has proved very helpful in my development and I couldn't be in much better hands.
"I have been pleased with my form for Huddersfield this season but I am also looking forward to the challenge of division two rugby.
"I'm sure that it will probably more physical that the Under-21s but I'm confident that I'll be able to handle it.
"I haven't seen Doncaster play this season and I don't know a great deal about the team but I have played against several of the players, such as Kyle Wood, at Academy League level."
Dons No 2 Tony Miller said: "Chris comes highly recommended."
