SPOOKY goings on at night in Rotherham this week – and it's not Jamie Oliver sneaking back for a bag of chips.
Onside the brightly coloured Spiegeltent housing the town's Open Art Festival this week the lights have been flickering on an off and bulky files travelling through the air.

"One light comes on and another across the tent goes off. It's as if they are talking to each other," says festival director Sean Rourke.

"We have two power supplies so it's unlikely its a power failure."

The tent is a century old and comes from Holland. It's sited right next door to All Saints' graveyard.

"We are wondering if we have a Flemish phantom or a local spirit in our midst,"

That and other things make him wonder half seriously if the tent has got a poltergeist. He could find out one way or another by spending the night in the tent.

"It's too cold," he says.
