COMIC Bernie Clifton and his ostrich have been banned from Beijing's Birds Nest Olympic stadium - presumably because the Chinese fear the bird will squawk Free Tibet slogans!
The Chesterfield-based funny man has joined up with John Hemmingham's Sheffield Wednesday band to add a bit of colour to the Olympics.

t are not being allowed inside.
The Chinese are banning musical instruments - Bernie is playing trombone - and any form of demonstration inside the stadia, even something as harmless as an ostrich.
But Bernie's not too bothered. "The local people have been wonderful. They're treating me like a pop star," he says.
