MORE sex please, it's Sally and Rony again. Tune into Radio 4's Afternoon Play tomorrow to catch their latest opus.
Sheffield's foremost literary couple, writer, singer and musician Sally Goldsmith, and playwright and radio presenter Rony Robinson, have their latest play, Women Of An Uncertain Age broadcast.
"It's about women in their fifties and some of it is based on my own experience," says Sally.
it's the third part of a trilogy about sex and age which was begun in 2005 with Last Loves, about pensioner sex, which won a big handful of awards. They followed up with Mummies and Daddies, a story of teenage sex.
"That won one from a Turkish radio organisation and was the only one worth any money," says Sally.
She got help from a retired local expert while researching the menopause. Women can feel suicidal but the play is unlikely to plunge its listeners into gloom. "It's funny as well as serious."
The plays are normally punctuated by songs but this time they are replaced by poems read by Royal Court actress Deborah Findlay.
The play begins at 2.15pm.
