Caborn's football legend tribute
MP RICHARD Caborn will give a special tribute to football legend Derek Dooley during the Summer Musical Cavalcade at the City Hall on Sunday, May 11.

The former sports minister will read it as the orchestra plays a new arrangement of the football
anthem You'll Never Walk Alone by concert organiser Keith Roe.

Keith, who organises many musical events at the hall for charity, says: "Derek was a great supporter of the concerts and he came to most of them.

"Derek was willing to present a cheque on our behalf to the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal on March 6 but, sadly, passed away the day before."

There are two performances of popular songs and tunes and the MP will give his tribute at the evening one.

Graham Moore, chairman of Westfield Health, will do the honours in the afternoon.

Keith, who has raised thousands of pounds for charity with his concerts over the years, adds that Derek always enjoyed Gary St John's rendition of New York, New York.

"Gary will sing this to finish his spot."

Tickets are still available (£8-£15 and concessions) on 0114 278 9789.
