THE Ten have reached their twelfth! Each year artist Isabel Blincow gets nine other painters together for an autumn exhibition at Baslow Village Hall.
This year it is being held on Saturday and Sunday, October 25 and 26.
It's a fundraiser for Sheffield Samaritans and has raised well over £12,000 in the last dozen years.
The names change over the years.
"New this year is Diane Kettle from Middleton by Youlgreave, an established artist and teacher," says Isabel.
One who has exhibited every year is Geoff Kersey of Matlock, one of Britain's leading watercolourists, who has just brought out a new book which is selling well.
If you're thinking of buying, it is cash or cheques only.
And if you can't afford a painting there will be plenty of cards for sale.
Add a zero to it
THE Diary missed a zero off the amount of money Cavendish Cancer Care needs to raise to keep going. It's £600,000 a year not £60,000.
The charity's new lottery begins this Saturday with the chance of winning up to £25,000 for a pound. Check it out at www.cavcare.org.uk
Season's greeting
IS this a record? A colleague has just received his first Christmas card of the year – and there are still 91 days to go! It's from Barnado's.
