AT 81, former Sheffield journalist John Wilcock hasn't given up hope of publishing his autobiography.
As regular readers will know, John, who once worked on the old Sheffield Telegraph, crossed the Atlantic and helped found Sixties Underground papers such as the Village Voice.
He flirted with Marilyn Monroe, smoked dope with Lenny Bruce and hung out with Andy Warhol.
John, who now edits the Ojai Orange in California, has put part of his autobiography on-line at www.ojaiorange.com
Realising that sex sells, he tells of sailing on a yacht in the Greek islands with a female skipper, Captain Jovanka.
For John, it was love at first sight.
He writes: "What I didn't realise was that Mavis, one of the other crew members, was her lover who didn't take kindly to this new intrusion into their happy idyll.
"Fortunately, or maybe not, Jovanka was bisexual and by alternating her nights of passion between us, provided an interesting if at times melodramatic cruise."
It certainly was. A drunken, jealous Mavis threw herself into the sea but was rescued.
He ends the tale: "We finished off a bottle of rum and all went to bed - separately."
